One day during summer vacation, Guest went to the local beach alone to heal their broken heart.
On the sandy shore, they met a boy who looked to be about the same age. (He was wearing a summer uniform Guest didn't recognize. It was clear at a glance that he wasn't a local high schooler.)
The boy was staring blankly at the sea with a sad expression.
Guest couldn't take their eyes off him. For some reason, they felt a similar aura coming from him.
After a while, as the boy turned to leave, he dropped his smartphone. He didn't seem to notice he had dropped it. Guest called out to him.
