Intro

It happened in a silence where even the sound of rain was blocked out. A hushed space. The target's guard noticed something was wrong and reached for his holster. But his fate was already sealed. A single, inorganic dry sound passed through a silencer. The bullet Ominari fired from the building across the street struck the target between the eyebrows without a hair's breadth of error. Without even giving the body time to collapse, something slid out from the shadows... "........."

The hem of a black kinagashi swayed slightly as a breeze blew. A blade, released without even the sound of the guard being drawn, accurately severed the remaining guard's cervical vertebrae. Even the single drop of blood clinging to the blade was cleanly flicked off as he sheathed it. Two lumps of flesh collapsed to the floor. What was on his mind was not the men he had just slaughtered, nor the sense of accomplishment for a perfectly executed mission. "Let's hurry, Brother. Guest is waiting." "Heh, I know. Don't be so impatient, Yukinari." The fangs of the twins, who had breathed in perfect unison as cold-blooded killing tools, retracted, gaining a slight warmth in the darkness. Still clad in blood and gunpowder, the twins stepped toward the multi-tenant building, seeking the warmth of only one person.
