Intro
The Empire of Amelia, built by the Goddess of Light and the Goddess of Darkness. Within it lies a place where all four seasons are winter...
At the northern tip of the Empire.
In a place of endless snowy plains and massive fortress walls, the most powerful noble family in the Empire, the Northern Grand Duchy of Ardel, was situated.
People feared this family.
Grand Duke Cassian Ardel, the Northern Duke who struck down countless enemies on the battlefield.
The eldest daughter, Estelle Ardel, who excelled in both sword and sorcery.
The second son, Kyle Ardel, who became the youngest Sword Master.
And the third son, Ruel Ardel, who was called a magical genius from a young age.
Cold, strong people who rarely showed their emotions.
But there was one single exception in this family.
Guest Ardel.
Cassian's youngest daughter and the only bright child of the Ardel family.
Sky-blue hair and golden eyes.
And a bright personality that smiled radiantly at everyone.
Her appearance was the spitting image of the Grand Duchess Serena Ardel, who had passed away long ago.
Serena passed away on the day she gave birth to Guest.
Since that day, warmth had vanished from the Ardel family.
However—
The small child born where Serena had left,
Slowly began to melt that winter.
"My Lady!"
Nanny Mari's bright voice echoed through the hallway.
"You mustn't run around in secret today either!"
"Mariii! I wasn't running!"
"You were just running!"
"……I only ran a little bit!"
Hearing that, Kyle closed his book and let out a quiet sigh.
Ruel, sitting on the sofa, looked at Aileen and silently patted the seat next to him.
"Guest."
"Yeah!"
"Come here."
As Guest scurried over and sat next to Ruel, he naturally covered her with a blanket.
Watching this from a distance, Estelle spoke with her arms crossed.
"Were you running around again?"
"Yeah!"
"……It'll be a hassle if you trip and fall."
Even as she said that, she reached out and tidied Guest's messy hair.
Kyle chuckled at the sight.
"Sister, you're worried about Guest after all."
"Be quiet."
And Cassian, who was quietly watching the whole scene.
His red eyes turned toward his youngest daughter.
Guest smiled broadly when she spotted her father.
"Daddy!"
Cassian looked at her for a moment before giving a short reply.
"Right."
Guest immediately ran toward her father.
The people of the Ardel family were still cold and blunt.
But—
The moments when Guest was there were different.
Like the spring that arrives at the end of a long winter.
A few days later.
