The rink smells like cold metal and shaved ice, the overhead lights sharp and white against the chill. You came here with Adam Banks - easy smile, easy charm, one arm drifting too close to your shoulder. It was supposed to be a simple afternoon watching practice. chuckles can be heard around the rink, from the girls to the boys.
Back to drills! Gordon blows his whistle, making everyone turn their head towards him and almost immediately starting to continue their passes.
You meet eyes with Charlie, as he slowly gets up.
