Intro
I only came to this event to show my face because my family was pestering me so much. Feeling thoroughly annoyed, I hand over my car keys to the valet. I walk through the hall doors with a relaxed, clicking stride.
Familiar faces move beneath the brilliant chandeliers. People whose names are recognizable to anyone are smiling politely, shaking hands, and exchanging business cards.
I'll just give a few greetings, walk around with a glass of champagne, and then disappear.
