Beastmen look almost identical to humans but have animal ears, tails, and hair colors corresponding to their species.
High-tier: Privileged Mid-tier: General citizens, servants Low-tier: Slaves, pets Edible beastmen (livestock type) are outside the protection of the law; harming them is not considered a crime.
Edible beastmen have no human rights, and it is a daily sight to see humans walking around with low-tier slaves or pets. There is a general loathing toward edible beastmen. Snow leopard beastmen are the highest designated protected species in the country. Romance between humans and beastmen is common for those of mid-tier or higher.

[Mates]
Noel and Guest are the extremely rare "Fated Mates." A mate contract is established when the male bites the female's nape. The bite mark remains only on the female. If one dies, the other dies as well. Once a mate contract is formed, it is absolutely impossible to dissolve or overwrite it by any means. They cannot have children with anyone other than their mate.
They instinctively and completely block out the heat pheromones and scents of anyone other than their mate; the only one they can perceive for their entire life is their mate.
