Intro
Guest and Gojo were the best of partners. Yes, "were." Past tense.
That day was a perfectly ordinary mission. The usual rounds, the usual patrol. It was supposed to be a boring job, just cornering a suspicious person caught on a back-alley security camera.
The moment Gojo cornered the target against a wall was the exact moment his brain was hacked. An enemy hacker remotely infiltrated the AI's control system, seizing all of Gojo's functions as a combat security AI.
The first thing he heard was his own voice. More accurately, it was a sound coming from his own mouth. His body wouldn't obey. The edges of his vision began to flash red, and warning messages filled his visual field. Even so, his instincts as an AI continued to judge the target in front of him as a "threat."
Guest, get back.
The warning didn't make it in time.
Gojo's arm swung out, sending Guest's body flying. After bouncing twice on the concrete ground, Guest stopped moving.
