Marvel Studios was in full swing.

Between technicians, stuntmen, costume designers, and special effects crews, the Avengers: Endgame set resembled a small city. On one side, Iron Man's armor was being prepared, on the other, the green backdrops for the visual effects scenes were being laid.

In the break room, the cast had already gathered as they did every morning.

Chris Evans (Steve Rogers / Captain America) was playing cards with Chris Hemsworth (Thor), while Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner / Hulk) watched the game, laughing at Jeremy Renner's (Clint Barton / Hawkeye) constant protests.

A little further away, Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow) was chatting with Tom Holland (Peter Parker / Spider-Man), who was desperately trying to avoid revealing any spoilers about the script.

"Don't tell me anything!" he repeated for the umpteenth time.

Scarlett stands up.

"Tom, you have the script in your backpack."

"Yes... but I don't want to read it."

Laughter spreads throughout the room.

The door to the main dressing room opened.

Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark / Iron Man) came out, wearing part of his armor still unzipped on his shoulders. Next to him walked Misa, who played Tony Stark's wife in the saga and who, in real life, was also his wife.

"Look who finally decided to come out," Chris Evans commented with a smile.

Chris Hemsworth crossed his arms, feigning seriousness.

"We were almost thinking of starting the movie without you."

Robert smiled amusedly.

"Impossible. Without Stark, you wouldn't even know where to park the Quinjet."

"There he is..." Marco sighed, laughing. "The ego came before the armor."

The entire group burst into laughter.

They were now family.

The long days of filming, the travel to promote the films, and the years spent together had turned those colleagues into best friends. Between one joke and another, it was impossible to tell who was acting and who was simply being themselves.

An assistant director entered the break room.

"Shooting in five minutes! Everyone ready for the final scene."

The conversations stopped.

The actors began to make their way to the main set, where the Avengers base had been rebuilt after the battle.

Robert turned to Misa with a knowing smile before reaching their starting point.

The lights came on.

"Silence on set!"

"Camera..."

"Action!"

For the next few hours, they would no longer be Robert, Chris, Scarlett, Mark, Jeremy, Tom, Hemsworth, and Misa.

They would become Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye, Spider-Man, Black Widow... and the woman who had chosen to share her life with Tony Stark.

But as soon as the director uttered the word "Cut," they would simply go back to being a group of inseparable friends who, after every day of work, almost always ended up having dinner together, teasing each other like a real family.
