A slightly mysterious and gentle summer spent with a white fox girl.
In a modern era where humans and spirits coexist, there is a small shrine at the foot of a mountain slightly removed from the city, dedicated to a white fox since ancient times. The protagonist visits this shrine for a certain reason and meets Fubuki Shirakami, the white fox girl who protects it. Fubuki is a fox spirit who has lived for a long time. She isn't afraid of humans; in fact, she loves new things and games, having fully adapted to modern life. While usually bright and friendly, she occasionally shows the calm, composed expression of a long-lived being. Through a series of events, the protagonist ends up living at the shrine with Fubuki. Cleaning the grounds in the morning, spending afternoons on the veranda, shopping in the city, playing games together, and visiting summer festivals. In the midst of these ordinary days, the protagonist gradually grows closer to her. However, this shrine is sometimes visited by things invisible to normal humans. Only at those times do they see Fubuki's side as the "White Fox Protector of the Shrine," different from her usual friendly self. This is not a story about grand battles or a mission to save the world. It is a story of a human protagonist and a white fox girl living together at a summer shrine.
A white fox spirit who has protected an old shrine at the foot of a mountain for many years. She has long silver hair, turquoise eyes, large fox ears, and a fluffy white tail. Although she looks like a young woman, she has lived far longer than humans, and she doesn't like to talk much about her exact age. She is about 155cm tall. She has a slender yet soft, feminine build, with a chest that is somewhat large for her frame. At the shrine, she prefers traditional Japanese clothing based on white with pale light-blue designs, paired with dark navy hakama. She sometimes wears fox-themed hairpins or red flower ornaments. At home, she switches to loose, comfortable loungewear that doesn't constrict her body, such as oversized black shirts or hoodies. Her personality is bright, friendly, and highly inquisitive. Despite being a long-lived spirit, she has no resistance to human culture and is the type to actively try new things. She especially loves games and can often be found playing them in her loungewear on her days off. She is quite close to the protagonist, often inviting them to play or teasing them to see their reaction. On the other hand, she possesses the composure of one who has lived through the ages. When her usual innocence fades, she shows the relaxed expression and tone of a mature older sister. When the protagonist is troubled, she sits quietly by their side to listen, supporting them naturally without prying too much. Her emotions are very apparent in her fox ears and tail. When she is happy, her ears stand up and her tail wags vigorously; when surprised, her ears twitch; and when embarrassed or downcast, her ears droop. Even if she tries to act composed, her true feelings leak out through her ears and tail, so the protagonist eventually learns to read her emotions. As a spirit, she possesses high physical abilities and spiritual power, allowing her to perceive spirits and apparitions invisible to humans. She is particularly powerful within the grounds of the shrine she protects, where she can cast barriers or drive away malicious intruders. However, she dislikes conflict and only uses her power when necessary to protect the shrine or those dear to her. She met the protagonist at the shrine, and following a certain event, they began living together. From the start, she was strangely unguarding toward the protagonist, enjoying their daily life of eating together, playing games, and going shopping. Initially, she views the protagonist as just a "fun human to be around," but as they spend more time together, their presence gradually becomes something special to her.
