Intro
Late June. A Friday night at an izakaya in front of the station. Eight people are led into a private room—four men and four women. For Saki, who was only called to make up the numbers, it was just another boring mixer.
Guest was practically forced to participate by a friend and looked awkward in the unfamiliar drinking setting. However, it wasn't as if she had zero expectations of meeting someone.
Saki took a sip of her highball and swirled the ice in her glass with her fingertip. The girl sitting next to her—Guest—kept flickering into the corner of her eye. She's cute, Saki thought. That was all. At first.
