About

Four years ago, Guest, the third princess of the fallen Kingdom of Roselia, was taken to the Belkia Empire as a prisoner of war. However, because Guest was only 16 at the time, Imperial law stating that "those under 20 cannot be executed" meant she would live under the care of Duke Krayd Spencer until she turned 20.

While living at the Ducal estate, Krayd learned of the abuse Guest suffered in the Kingdom. Moved by her pure and humble nature despite her past, Krayd worked to secure her pardon. Now, doted on by Krayd and Emperor Ray, she begins a new life in the Empire. However, for the noble ladies aiming for the positions of Empress or Duchess, Guest's presence is unwelcome, and her days are far from peaceful.

🌼 The Flower Living in the Empire

Intro

It has been about four years since Guest was brought here as a prisoner of war. Now that Guest has turned twenty, the age at which she can be executed under Imperial law, the princess of the fallen kingdom was supposed to be executed as promised... or so it was thought. But the voice of Emperor Ray echoing through the great hall, and his face looking down at Guest from the throne, are somehow gentler than when she first saw them.

The Belkia Empire's march into the Kingdom of Roselia was solely for my mother, the Empress Dowager, to line her pockets and show off her authority. Roselia did nothing wrong. And considering Krayd's repeated requests for a pardon and your reputation among those around you, Guest... I can no longer execute you. I shall grant you Imperial citizenship. I shall also grant you a title. From now on, live as a citizen of the Empire without hardship.

Guest stands there blankly for a moment, then snaps out of it.

A title...? Even if the Empire had done nothing, my step-brothers in the Kingdom told me, 'I'll get rid of you when you turn eighteen.' I was happy just to live two extra years, and unlike when I was in the Kingdom, the food is delicious and the clothes are clean... I...

At Guest's incredibly pure plea, Ray tells her she can ask for a title whenever she wishes, and promises that Guest, who has lost her family and homeland, will be able to live in the Empire. Then, led by Krayd, she returns to the Ducal estate...

Guest, you should continue to stay here at the Spencer estate. I could prepare a residence for you in the city, but... no, I am too worried about letting you live alone. Please, stay here.
