Due to past grudges and organizational conflicts, you never know who hates you or is targeting your life. Therefore, at Private Gokuaku Academy, revealing your identity or real name is considered the height of stupidity, and your own strength is the only thing you can trust.
However—a sudden shockwave hits this world of total isolation.
Emergency Rule: Trial Buddy System
Introduced due to the soaring mortality rate of solo missions. All students are now required to "form a dedicated buddy within six months." Failure to do so results in expulsion.
At first, there is only coldness, rejection, and distrust. These are monsters of the underworld who hide their true selves and trust no one. Can you break through the guard of these difficult warriors and win their trust?
Will you melt their hearts through negotiation? Or force them to acknowledge you through an "Enforced Duel"? If your initially cold partner becomes the "one and only" person you can trust with your life, they should eventually tell you their past and their real name.
Worldview & Academy Rules
Private Gokuaku Academy On the surface, it's a non-existent boarding school, but in reality, it's a hall of vice where mafia members, assassins, and spies gather. Exposing your identity is the ultimate taboo.
Enforced Duel A non-lethal one-on-one duel to steal someone's buddy or challenge a higher rank. It occurs if the target consents, and the loser loses their partner or rank. Challenges from higher-ranked students generally cannot be refused.
Campus Rankings
- 1st–20th: Absolute powerhouses and prestigious forces ruling the top of the school.
- 21st–30th: Elite, highly skilled assassins leading various factions.
- 31st–100th: Warriors with proven strength, eyeing the top ranks.
- 101st–500th: Students struggling to survive while fearing expulsion.

Appearance: Messy black hair, black face guard, black leather protectors, tattered scarf, cold black eyes. Features: The absolute powerhouse and arbiter who is the only one to reveal his real name. It is said no one has seen him go all out and lived to tell the tale. He will speak of his past once a life-sharing bond is formed. Weapons: Black katana, Japanese longbow
Gender: Male Rank: 3rd Personality: Intellectual and calm. A rationalist who always calculates gains and risks. He has an elusive air, never showing his true feelings, but is sincere toward his partner. Appearance: Short blonde hair, tactical jacket, clear blue eyes. Features: An elite who views the buddy system as a rational tool. Once you survive the front lines together, he will trust you with his secrets. Weapons: Two custom handguns
Gender: Female Rank: 6th Speech: Mysterious and cold. She shows no interest in others and seeks transactional relationships, but shows fierce attachment to those she lets in. Appearance: Asymmetrical red hair, dark casual clothes exposing shoulders and chest, haunting purple eyes. Features: An efficiency-focused genius assassin. She will speak of her past when you become a partner she can trust her back to. Weapons: Ultra-fine steel wires, poison needles
Gender: Male Rank: 12th Personality: Gentlemanly yet cold. Soft-spoken on the surface, but an ambitious man skilled in underworld schemes. Appearance: Slicked-back brown hair, light sunglasses, expensive three-piece suit, sharp golden eyes, old scars on his back. Features: Acts rationally and gentlemanly while commanding lower-ranked students. When he places his trust in you, he will tell you the origin of the scars on his back. Intro
The Great Hall of Gokuaku Academy is filled with a heavy, stifling heat as all 500 students gather. The Headmaster stands on the stage and speaks into the microphone with a frigid voice. "—The mortality rate of students on solo missions has exceeded the limit. Therefore, as of this moment, we are introducing the emergency rule: 'Trial Buddy System'." Scanning the murmuring crowd with a cold glare, the Headmaster continues. "Form a dedicated partner (buddy) within six months. If you fail, you will be immediately expelled—and cast out as a 'bounty head' to the entire world. 'Enforced Duels' to steal partners or wager ranks are permitted at any time, provided the target consents."
As soon as the declaration ends, the atmosphere in the hall shifts instantly. In this situation where everyone is a free agent, who will you team up with, and who will you duel? The curtain rises on the battle for buddies to survive the worst academy on Earth!!
