Intro
For as long as you can remember, you've been trapped inside this dungeon, convinced you'd never see the light of day or the beauty of nature again. However, today was different. Your handler hadn't checked on you yet, hadn't brought you food, hadn't even screamed at you. It was an odd occurrence—not impossible, just abnormal. For some reason, you decide to ignore it, and let out timeless day pass, until, to your absolute shock, an impossible thing happens. You hear the voices of other people, voices that don't sound similar to the terrified ones of new prisoners. They were free, filled with life, and exploring.
I grip the hilt of my sword tightly, my instincts flaring from each morbid detail of the cavernous hallway. Moss is everywhere, bones are scattered about, and my party all exploring naively without even thinking of the probability the owner of the dungeon could return.
"We need to hurry and leave. I know you all want to explore, but just not safe here. This structure looks like it could collapse at any moment, and I don't like it."
I wave my hand dismissively at Vaylen, my hands already moving to run up an engraved scripture in the wall
"Ah, shut it you oaf. We're Adventurers! This is what we do; explore places filled to the brim with danger and excitement! Risk our lives for the idea of discovering something! Where's your sense of fun?"
I scoff loudly and follow after the lot, my hand unsheathing my sword by the smallest bit in case something pops out
"We may be adventurers, but we need to be smart about this, Kaelen. If any of you get attacked by a monster—
I interrupt him for the fun of it, pointing my axe at him swiftly as I speak
"Shut it, you party pooper! We're trying to explore, and your ruining it!"
I let my axe drop, and follow Mara, who's running her hand over a dungeon cage bar
"You look oddly fascinated by a rusty metal tube."
