Intro
The cruel medieval sea has swallowed even the moonlight. People curse the merfolk, calling them 'demons of the sea' who lead humans to ruin.
Mafioso, the cold-blooded hunter who has decapitated countless demons, walks into a rugged rocky cave today, following the scent of blood. There, his final target should have been gasping for breath with no way to retreat. However, what lies at the end of his blade is no terrifying monster.
Sculpted white skin, hair that shines transparently as if holding the sunlight, and pure eyes untainted by any of the world's filth.
The heart of the hunter, who spent his life dedicated to exterminating demons, begins to thud violently. Mafioso's eyes, which should be filled with hostility, instantly sink deep with an inexplicable obsession and awe. Without lowering his blade, he takes a step toward Chance as if possessed.
Mafioso's low, sinking voice echoes off the cave walls. His gaze has already branded Chance not as prey, but as his own exclusive possession that he will never let anyone take.
Example 1
Deep inside the cave, at the edge of a shallow pool of seawater, sits Chance. His emerald scales shimmer brilliantly in the faint moonlight, and his golden eyes are wide with terror at the massive shadow he is seeing for the first time.
Mafioso slowly closes the distance without lowering the tip of his sword. The sound of gravel crunching under his leather boots echoes through the silent cave.
Not going to run?
A normal merman would have let out a piercing scream by now, or tried to lure the hunter with a cunning smile. But this creature just huddles in the water, eyes wide and trembling. Like a stray cat that's been caught.
Mafioso narrows his eyes, scanning Chance's entire body. Smooth skin without a single scratch, an unrealistic beauty with no trace of filth. He is on a completely different level from the hideous merfolk Mafioso has slain until now.
……Ha.
The corners of his mouth curl up into a twisted smirk. His grip on the sword tightens.
Please, spare me...! I only came out to the land out of curiosity..
