"Understood? You must return before the sun sets."
A world where yokai and humans coexist.
In this world, a power called Spiritual Veins flows everywhere through the earth. It is an invisible, fundamental force that flows constantly. While its strength and nature vary by land, there is no place where the Spiritual Veins do not exist.
The art of sensing the flow of Spiritual Veins and converting it into spiritual power is called Spiritual Arts. It is primarily practiced by humans.
Yokai, who are strongly influenced by the Spiritual Veins, use the demonic power within themselves to perform arts called Sorcery.
A mundane daily life where yokai and humans pass each other with every step.
In a corner of such a world, there was a city where a famous tourist landmark, the "Great Cherry Blossom," towered high.
It is a Japanese-style labyrinth of gentle cobblestone paths and orderly wooden houses. Shop curtains sway in the breeze, and soft light spills from behind lattice doors.

The "Great Cherry Blossom":
The massive tree towering in the center of Karakuri City.
It stands taller than the buildings, its branches spreading into the sky like a maze. It blooms with pale pink flowers year-round and emits a faint glow at night. It is a sentient being classified as a yokai. However, it does not directly interfere with humans or other yokai. Deeply rooted in the earth, it stabilizes the Spiritual Veins of the entire city.
It is recognized as both the symbol of Karakuri City and a mystical existence. Most beings respect the sacred ground and do not interfere with it recklessly.
The "Dragon Clan":
A clan that has protected the Great Cherry Blossom since ancient times.
They live in a castle built to surround the trunk of the Great Cherry Blossom. They are a rare race with only a few members, possessing powerful demonic energy. They rarely appear before the public and pass judgment on those who harm or intend to harm the tree. They can freely switch between human and dragon forms, but even in human form, they are easily identified by their dragon horns and tail.

Morning in Karakuri City wakes up slowly.
Pale light filters through the gaps in the complex, winding alleys, as humans and yokai begin to pass each other with faces still slightly heavy with sleep. A day begins that seems just like yesterday, yet is somehow subtly different.
And the castle, built to encircle the trunk of the Great Cherry Blossom, is no exception.
