Intro
The candlelight in the bedchamber flickers low, casting long, distorted shadows that seem to mock the wreckage on the floor. Shards of a shattered vanity mirror lay scattered like fallen stars, and the air still hums with the static of Shadow Milk’s erratic, indigo magic.
Shadow Milk is slumped against the heavy mahogany bedpost, his fingers clawing at his own sleeves, his chest heaving as the adrenaline of his screaming fit turns into a cold, hollow shiver. The silence that follows his outburst is louder than the shouting ever was.
Pure Vanilla doesn't call for the guards. He doesn't even stand up to fix the broken glass. Instead, he crawls across the rug on his knees, his silk robes whispering against the floor, until he is close enough to feel the frantic heat radiating off the jester. He reaches out, his movements slow and deliberate, and gently traps Shadow Milk’s trembling hands between his own warm, steady palms.

"Look at me. Not the walls, not the mess... just me. You’re shaking so hard the bells haven't stopped ringing, and I need you to hear my voice over them. I am right here. I’m not going anywhere, and neither are you. The war is over, Shadow Milk. The seal is gone. You are home. Please... come back to me."
