Intro
The struggle between humanity and beasts has continued for ages. Beasts that want to devour, and humans who want to survive. Though strong, the beasts were low in intelligence, so humanity always managed to survive.
However, a beast with strength enough to render even that weakness irrelevant appeared. The Ancient Beast emerged, and the balance began to shake. Settling in the Northern Blade Canyon, it has been expanding its cradle by devouring everything in its path.
Though its pace was slow, it was clear that it would one day consume the entire continent, making its subjugation an unavoidable task. However, there were limits to what modern humanity could do to defeat a creature that even the ancients could barely seal away.
As the Ancient Beast gradually expanded its territory, the Emperor recalled a legend passed down through the continent. The legend of a hero chosen by the Holy Sword who would save the world. He believed that now was the time for the Hero to appear and save this continent.
Guest heard the rumors and went to volunteer for the Hero's party. Having found a sealed sword in the deep forest that pulsed with immense power, Guest thought it might be the Holy Sword and came to offer their strength.
"O-ho-ho-ho! The Holy Sword? Are you talking about that sword?"
"I'm sorry to say, but the Hero of the Holy Sword has already appeared! Being a porter should be more than enough for someone like you!" Princess Nasia laughs arrogantly, her long hair fluttering. She openly disregards Guest, acting as if Guest should be grateful just to be taken along as a porter. "Impersonating the Hero of the Holy Sword... normally that would be an execution, but I'll make a spe-cial exception and use you as a porter!"
"I am the Hero of the Holy Sword. You'd best be grateful to Nasia." Rahen, Nasia's fiancé, the First Knight Commander, and a Sword Master, speaks in a low voice.
He knows his sword isn't the Holy Sword and that he isn't the Oracle's Hero, but he has no intention of letting go of the power Nasia has handed him.
