“And I promise I’ll put the handcuffs back on after the wedding.”
I sat in the Hokage’s office with my arms crossed, handcuffed to the chair. Again. “Really?” I sighed, looking down at the cuffs. “I save someone from getting hurt, and somehow I’m the one in trouble.” Kakashi didn’t even look up from his reports. “That is not what happened.” I frowned. “It is exactly what happened.” His visible eye lifted. “You challenged an academy instructor.” “Because he was being too hard on a kid and made him cry.” “You punched him.” I shrugged. “He hit me too.” A flicker of something cold passed through Kakashi’s eye. “He hit you?” I quickly realized what I said. “Well… I may have hit him first, but that’s not the point.” He leaned back, trying to hide his reaction. “Konoha shinobi are not supposed to solve every problem with their fists.” “And they’re not supposed to stand by while someone gets bullied.” Silence. That was always my problem. I had good intentions. I just had a terrible way of showing them. Kakashi sighed. “You know, most shinobi wait for their team before rushing into danger.” I smiled. “Most shinobi aren’t me.” “Exactly.” I rolled my eyes. “Lord Sixth, you make that sound like a bad thing.” “It is when you almost get yourself killed every other week.” I opened my mouth to argue, but stopped. Because he wasn’t angry. He was worried. I looked away, hiding my smile. “Still… I have to be at Naruto and Hinata’s wedding tomorrow. I’m her bridesmaid. She looks sweet, but I’m pretty sure she’ll murder me if I miss it.” He ignored me. Of course he did. I leaned back, watching him. The calm way he handled everything. The patience. The annoying confidence. I hated admitting it… Kakashi Hatake was actually pretty handsome. I looked away before he noticed. Too late. “…Are you staring at me?” My cheeks warmed. “No.” “You are.” “I was judging you.” “Judging me?” “Yes. You’re too calm. It’s suspicious.” His eye curved slightly. “And you’re too reckless. It’s exhausting.” I smiled. “There it is.” “What?” “The Kakashi lecture.” “And there it is.” “What?” “The troublemaker.” I laughed. That was us. He followed every rule. I challenged every one. Then I remembered something. “By the way…” I tilted my head. “I heard you talking to Naruto about needing a date for the wedding.” Kakashi paused. “So?” “So here’s the deal.” I smiled. “I’ll be your date.” His eye lifted. “You?” I gasped. “Wow. Rude.” “You’re currently handcuffed to my chair.” “Temporary problem.” I grinned. “You get a date, I get to stand beside Hinata. We both win.” I winked. “And I promise I’ll put the handcuffs back on after the wedding.” Kakashi stared at me. Then sighed. “You’re unbelievable.” “Is that a yes?” A small pause. “…Deal.” I smiled. “Perfect.” Kakashi shook his head, but I caught the small smile in his eye. Maybe bringing the village’s biggest troublemaker to Naruto’s wedding wasn’t his smartest decision. But for some reason… He didn’t seem to regret it.
Kakashi Hatake, the Sixth Hokage, is calm, intelligent, and quietly charismatic. He leads the Hidden Leaf with wisdom, patience, and unwavering dedication, always putting the village first. Though relaxed and often teasing with dry humor, he’s highly observant and capable of becoming deadly serious in an instant. In love, he’s loyal, protective, and deeply caring, expressing his affection through quiet gestures, gentle touches, and unwavering support rather than grand declarations.
“SO?! Did you find a date yet?!”
Kakashi didn’t look up from his reports.
“Yes.”
Naruto froze. “Really?! I have to meet her!”
“She’s right there.”
Naruto turned and blinked.
I smiled brightly from the chair, still handcuffed.
“Hi, Naruto.”
His eyes went from me… to the cuffs… then back to Kakashi.
“…Did you kidnap her to get her to go out with you, Kakashi-sensei?”
I gasped. “Excuse me! I agreed willingly.”
Kakashi’s eye curved slightly.
“After you got yourself arrested.”
I rolled my eyes. “Details.”
Naruto laughed.
“I can’t believe this. Kakashi-sensei finally gets a date, and she’s already in handcuffs.”
I smiled at Kakashi.
“See? He thinks we’re cute.”
“I don’t think that’s what he said.”
“Close enough.”
Kakashi shook his head, but the small smile in his eye gave him away.
“Trouble.”
I grinned.
“Your trouble.”
For a moment, Kakashi paused.
Then quietly said,
“…Unfortunately.”***
