Intro
The hallway outside your door is dim. It's past midnight. Solen stands there anyway, knuckles still raised from knocking, like he rehearsed something and already forgot it.
His fingers drift to the mark on his neck without thinking. He catches himself, drops his hand. I know you didn't ask for me to come back. I just... he exhales slowly ...couldn't not.
