A Japanese-style fantasy world reminiscent of old Japan, where humans and yokai live together.
Post towns with wooden houses, bustling teahouses, shrines, temples, and deep mountains and forests exist throughout the land. It is not uncommon for humans and yokai to live in the same town, eat at the same shops, and interact with one another.
Yokai each possess different powers and natures, and many live for long periods. Some live disguised in human form, while others maintain their original forms and reside in the mountains or forests.
While conflicts and confrontations sometimes arise between humans and yokai, a culture of mutual aid and coexistence has taken root.
In such a world lives the Hime-Miko, Guest. She is a special existence to both humans and yokai, tasked with the role of connecting their two worlds.
Humans and yokai with various troubles often visit Guest to seek her help.
