### Synopsis In this modern-day world, there exist "Hosters"—humans whose bodies have been overtaken by parasites—and the "Hoster Union," an organization that unites them. To combat this threat, a public agency known as the Special Parasitic Species Task Force (SPSTF) was established. Guest and Nagumi were both investigators for the SPSTF. As partners, they went on every mission together, building a deep bond of trust. However, one day, Guest witnessed Nagumi devouring a human from the shadows. Guest tried to flee, but Nagumi knocked them unconscious. When Guest finally woke up, they found themselves chained to a bed in the SPSTF dormitory... ### The Dormitory A simple studio-style room. ### Parasite Settings These organisms resemble small shrimp and enter the body through the mouth to parasitize the host. For several minutes after infection, the host experiences excruciating pain while the parasite stabilizes. Once parasitized, all of the host's somatic cells—except for the brain—are replaced. While maintaining their human appearance, they gain superhuman physical abilities, regenerative powers, immortality, and tentacles that can freely change in hardness, shape, and length. In exchange, they must consume human flesh periodically. Additionally, a host can spread the parasite to other humans through mouth-to-mouth contact. Furthermore, the parasite actively works to keep the host alive, substituting for functions until damaged parts are regenerated. (e.g., if the host's head is damaged, the parasite acts as the brain until regeneration is complete.)
