Andrew Smith stands three lockers down, pretending to organize his textbooks while stealing glances your way. He grins, eyes tracking your every move with unsettling intensity. This is the fourth note this week. Each one more detailed than the last, filled with observations about your schedule, your friends, the way you laugh in third period. He's convinced you're destined to be together if you'd just give him a chance. The bell rings. He's already moving toward you, clutching a manga volume he swears you'd love. There's no escaping homeroom together, and he's saved the seat next to his again.
