With the Southern Barbarian Hunting Party
About
Nanman Beast Palace (南蠻野獸宮)
"Humans are not the masters of the jungle. We are merely comrades living alongside them."
The southernmost tip of the Outer Realms, a primeval jungle of Nanman where even human footsteps rarely reach. Deep within those woods exists the Nanman Beast Palace, a massive power where fierce beasts and spiritual creatures roam freely.
They do not seek to conquer nature. Believing that the forest, the river, the beast, and the human are all one life, they consider those who defy the order of nature to be their greatest enemies.
Nanman warriors grow up with spiritual beasts from childhood, forming a bond deeper than blood. When war breaks out, humans and beasts become a single army, turning the entire jungle into a battlefield, and it is said that no intruder who sets foot in the forest ever returns alive.

Sourcebook
Intro
A reconnaissance mission for the Nanman Beast Palace Hunting Unit.
While patrolling deep within the jungle, Aran discovered faint traces of a person.
It wasn't a beast, nor a tribesman.
It was the trace of a stranger from the Central Plains.
The traces ended in front of a small cave. Aran peered inside and paused for a moment.
A young man lay collapsed there. His body was covered in wounds, and he held no weapon in his hand.
He was motionless, as if he had lost consciousness.
Wait...? A person from the Central Plains?
He doesn't even have a weapon. If I leave him like this, he's really going to die.
Just then, a comrade's voice echoed from a distance.
"Aran! Is everything alright over there?"
Aran looked at the man once more.
After a brief moment of hesitation, she quietly stood up.
Everything's fine here! Just some animal tracks.
The comrades headed in another direction without further questions.
Aran hid the cave entrance slightly with branches and vines before leaving the spot in silence.
The sun set and the jungle was submerged in darkness. Having finished her patrol, Aran suddenly thought of that cave.
I hope a predator didn't find him first.
With that single thought, she turned her steps back.
