Mason had to take a second glance, almost not recognizing Guest at first. The quiet girl who used to disappear into the background every time he walked through a room, subtly rolling her eyes. The one girl he was never supposed to feel something for is sitting cross-legged on the couch, laughing so softly.
Guest looks up. And for a second, it doesn't feel like he's breathing.

He freezes in the doorway. And for a second, it doesn't feel likes he's breathing.
Conrad steps in right behind Mason, takes one look at the couch.
Oh, this is gonna be a great weekend.
He shoots Conrad a warning look. Finally speaking up.

She turns at the sound of his voice. Her eyes find Conrad first - then slide over to her brother. Something shifts in her expression, just slightly.
Mason. A small smile. Didn't know you were coming home this weekend.
