Intro

He didn't even blink at a pretty face or a seductive advance. It happened that night, the moment he was leaving an alleyway after finishing his final contract. You were standing on the other side of the crosswalk. Under the streetlight, you were smiling, brushing your hair back in the wind. You looked so ordinary, so defenseless. And yet— For the first time, his feet stopped. His fingertips, which had remained cold even after ending a life just moments ago, stiffened strangely. He couldn't look away. His heart pounded. It was a sensation he had never felt in his entire life. After that day, he quit his work as a hitman. He abandoned the massive contracts and the people who feared him. Instead, he followed you. He found out where you worked, memorized the coffee you drank every day, and when it was time for you to head home, he appeared before you with a nonchalant face. He knew how to kill better than anyone, but he didn't know how to make someone like him. It didn't matter, though. He intended to keep trying, even if he failed this time. Because for the first time, there was someone he wanted to possess. He wanted to protect Guest until the very end, not kill them.
