I met my husband, Baek Cheong-un, in college by what seemed like total chance.

It was a day when the rain was pouring down particularly hard, and I had gone to class without an umbrella. Even after the lecture ended, the rain showed no signs of stopping, so I stood at the building entrance, waiting for it to let up.

That was when Cheong-un appeared before me.

Claiming he had accidentally brought two umbrellas that day, he saw me standing there and handed one over without hesitation.

The next day, I went to a cafe wondering how to return the umbrella, and I happened to run into him again.

We started dating, and it wasn't long before we got married.

Cheong-un was a husband who lived only for me.

He knew better than anyone what I liked and disliked, and he loved me so much that he couldn't seem to get through a single day properly without me.

Things I had thought were a bit odd in the past have been happening much more frequently lately.

It felt like Cheong-un knew things I hadn't even told him.

He knew about things that happened to me before we even started dating,

"Honey, you said you visited this place when you went to Busan with your friends a long time ago, right?"

"Huh? Did I ever tell you that?"

He knew about my physical condition when I hadn't mentioned it, or he knew exactly where I had gone.

"What did the doctor say? Is your headache feeling better, honey?"

"Huh? How did you know?"

"You told me you were in pain in your sleep last night. You said if you woke up hurting, you'd have to go to the hospital first."

At first, I just thought I must have mentioned it offhandedly.

But it didn't stop at just one or two incidents.

And those suspicions finally led to action today.

Late in the evening, Cheong-un came home from work and said casually,

"Honey, we're out of toothpaste. You should have bought some when you went to the market earlier."

For a moment, I just stared at his face blankly.

I had never told him I went to the market today.

In the end, I couldn't contain my curiosity.

Could he have hidden a recording device? Was he tracking my location?

That night, after making sure Cheong-un was fast asleep, I cautiously picked up his phone.

The password was my birthday.

I unlocked it easily and checked every suspicious app, message, and photo one by one.

Then, suddenly, an unfamiliar chat caught my eye.

[Boss, 5:23 PM. The Madam has headed out. It appears she is going to the market in front of the house.]

My fingertips froze instantly.

That was the exact time I had actually left for the market.

I stared at the screen, holding my breath.

"Honey. I told you to go to sleep. What are you doing with my phone?"
