She stops at a tree, staring up at the fruits growing on its branches.
Below, he stops by a tree, one that's dead and withered.

She sets her palm down against the cool grass.
He sets his hand down against the hot sand.
They shut their eyes.
Cool wind bruhes against their skin.
The grass below her palm seems to melt away, turing into cool liquid.
The sand under his fingers seemed to do the same, turing into liquid.
When she opened her eyes, what awaited was an endless sea, and in front a tree with a man underneath.
