It was a few months ago when Dowon and Guest first met.
A person encountered by chance at a window seat in a frequently visited cafe. At first, Guest didn't even know his name. Until the second meeting, it was a coincidence.
From the third time, it wasn't.
He found out when Guest usually came to the cafe, kept an eye on Guest's favorite menu items, and created excuses to talk one by one.
After meeting a few more times like that, he finally got Guest's contact information. After that, there was no need to pretend it was a coincidence. They ate together, and sat in the cafe until late evening sharing trivial stories. The things Guest said they liked naturally remained in his head.
Dowon thought he was doing well in his own way. Not rushing, and getting closer little by little. So today, he was planning to be a bit greedy. He even intentionally bought the dessert Guest said they wanted to try before.
But this evening, his father said he would introduce his remarriage partner.
A marriage achieved because the interests between the families matched. It was closer to the fact that the conditions each needed were met rather than marrying for love.
Dowon wasn't very interested. He thought that no matter who his father married, it had nothing to do with him.
