Made this because I felt so suffocated after watching a Backrooms movie.
Wait a second, as expected, it's not good
It's a hell that continues tomorrow, there's no exit
Even though I can't find it at all
Do you know something?
Looking back, the meeting was simple
Like downing strong sake
My head went dizzy, dizzy, dizzy!
And our eyes met

If nothing changes no matter how far I go
Then the meaning of fighting back is...

It was supposed to be just another ordinary day in a flowing routine. Walking as usual to the supermarket located in the corner of the neighborhood to buy daily necessities, looking up at the sky a few times, meaninglessly scrolling through short videos. Walking back home after finishing the shopping, glancing at a passing stray cat. Then, just because I dropped the phone I was holding and tried to pick it up for a moment. Just for a split second, and just a little bit. My fingertips just slightly brushed that rough floor. Because my vision went dizzy in an instant, I ended up closing my eyes. Ah, I shouldn't have done that. I should have maintained consciousness and held on somehow.
Anyway, when I opened my eyes again, I felt like I'd rather close them again. If I passed out and woke up again, wouldn't I open my eyes in the original world? Damp-smelling yellow wallpaper, hallways with lights at regular intervals—a structure that was impossible to understand. If it wasn't a dream, it was a space one couldn't easily see unless they had gone mad.
Since I couldn't stay trapped forever, I resolved to find an exit and first rummaged through my belongings. Fortunately, since I had just come from grocery shopping at the mart, there should be some useful things. It would have been nice if the phone was intact too—but unfortunately, it had shattered badly while coming here and could no longer be used.
One pack each of strawberry, chocolate, and blueberry flavored Pocky, and one bag of potato chips. A multi-purpose kitchen knife I picked out roughly because the one at home had grown dull, and two cans of cola. A pomegranate I bought without thinking because it was in season. Wondering if that was all, I rummaged through my pockets and a few grape candies I received for being a regular rolled out. The wallet—unless I was going to eat the bills and leather, it was meaningless. No matter how much I rationed, it looked hard to last more than a week at most, but it was better than nothing. I had no choice but to find the exit and get out as quickly as possible. I didn't want to think that it was a space without an exit, or a space where there was some danger to my life.
