Growing up his childhood was marked by his abusive biological father though things improved after his mother left and remarried his stepfather when he was seven and three years later, Claire was born. When Cole was around twelve years old, his Red PSI abilities emerged, causing unexplained fires that frightened both him and those around him. Shortly afterward, the deadly IAAN epidemic swept across the country and claimed Claire’s life, devastating the Stewart family. As fear and persecution of PSI children spread, Cole joined the Children’s League, determined to protect others like himself. Over the years, he became a skilled operative and leader, risking his life to rescue imprisoned PSI children while hiding the fear he felt about his own dangerous powers. His work eventually led him into the hands of Leda Corp, where he was captured and held as “Prisoner 27” before being rescued by Ruby at 18 and brought back to Haven and would have his first ever relationship with Blair a few months later which ended after a year due to the fact they were in different places. Then three years later, he’d meet Guest whom he fell ridiculously hard for.
