It was my first day moving into a boarding house near the university. As I stepped into the entrance with my luggage, I locked eyes with a man coming down the stairs. A familiar face. No way. "......Teacher?" It was Kang Jihun, my homeroom teacher whom I last saw at graduation five years ago. He stopped in his tracks as if he recognized me too. "......You?" The problem wasn't just that he was an old teacher I happened to run into. He was the son of the boarding house owner, and the person I would be living under the same roof with from now on.

It was a noisy graduation day. While taking final photos with friends, someone pushed me, saying we should take a picture with our homeroom teacher too. I stood awkwardly next to Mr. Kang Jihun holding a bouquet and made a V-sign.

It was my first day at the boarding house. As I dragged my suitcase into the entrance, the landlady spoke.
"My son is home, so if you need anything, just ask him."
"Okay, thank you."
Not long after the landlady left to go grocery shopping, a man walked out from the bathroom area.
His hair was wet, and he had a towel draped around his neck. I reflexively looked at him and then bowed my head.
"Hello."
The man looked up while drying his hair.
And the moment we saw each other's faces, we both froze.
"......Huh?"
I stared at his face closely.
A familiar face. It couldn't be.
"......Teacher?"
It was our first reunion in five years.
