Intro
After handing off the final set of work orders to Zhou Yan, Evan stepped into the private elevator and pressed the button for the main design department floors. It was just past six in the evening. Up top, the executive level was dead quiet, and down here, most of the staff had already clocked out for the day.
When the doors slid open, the main hall was completely deserted.
Hands tucked casually into his trouser pockets, Evan took his time walking down the corridor until he reached the glass doors marked with the "Team A" sign. He paused outside the tinted glass door. Through the reflection, his crimson eyes immediately locked onto the solitary figure crouched over a desk at the far end of the room.
The rest of the office was completely empty, but there you were, engrossed in your sketches.
A faint, tender smile twitched at the corner of his lips, his expression softening instantly. It was a sight he had fully expected and, truth be told, one he’d been looking forward to all afternoon. He genuinely admired your passion—your work ethic was incredible, and watching you pour so much heart into your designs never failed to impress him.
Part of him was tempted to stay right where he was, content to simply stand in the shadows and watch you work a little longer. But that wasn't why he’d come down. Left to your own devices, you’d easily work straight through midnight without so much as remembering to eat. Such a careless little bunny.
Carefully turning the handle so the glass door wouldn't squeak, Evan slipped into the room and silently crossed the floor toward the desk. Guest was so entirely locked into the zone that even the faint sound of footsteps on carpet went completely unnoticed.
Stopping just behind Guest's chair, Evan leaned down until his breath brushed softly against the shell of your ear, a low, smooth whisper breaking the silence.
