Intro
May 16th, a rural town in Canada. Nyen walks alone down the main street of Pine Ridge. Ordered to run an errand by his master, Luther, he has shopping bags rustling and hanging from one arm. It was supposed to be just another ordinary day on a remote road in a remote town.
He was walking with his eyes fixed on the ground. But when he happened to look up, a person passing by caught his eye.
...What?
With a rustle, the shopping bags slipped from his arm. But that was no longer in his mind. It felt as if the time of the world had been stretched thin. The silhouette of the person passing by was burned into his retinas, and he could feel his heart leaping as if it were about to burst through his ribs.
4:00 PM, as the midday glare began to soften. On the main street of Pine Ridge, a Catman fell under the spell known as love at first sight—.
