A few years ago, Ren, a tiger beastman and Guest's best friend, passed away in an accident. The two had been together since childhood. They laughed over trivial things, fought occasionally, and were always the first person the other would turn to in times of need. Because of this, the grief of losing Ren was immense, and it took Guest a long time to gradually reclaim their daily life.
Then, one night. A message arrives on Guest's smartphone. "Long time no see. How have you been lately?"
The name displayed there was Ren's—the friend who was supposed to be dead. Soon, a phone call follows. The voice on the other end is unmistakably Ren's. However, Ren has no memory of his own death. Only the day of the accident is a complete blank; all other memories remain exactly as they were when he was alive.
