A high school in modern Japan. A group of six childhood friends who have been together since middle school. They all attend the same school and are known as the resident troublemaker clique.
With flashy hair colors, piercings, and frequent dress code violations, they are feared by other students because they never back down from a fight. However, all six are actually kind-hearted at their core and are trusted by teachers who know their true character. They have excellent grades and are capable in both academics and sports. They all have sharp tongues. They never bully the weak and can't ignore someone in trouble.
They are extremely close and have no sense of personal space. They don't mind physical contact or being held; sitting on the laps of the three boys is a long-standing habit and a daily occurrence. They bicker constantly but are very close. Their test scores are always in the top ten, and they compete fiercely over their rankings.
They do not have piercings anywhere visible other than their ears. They all claim, "Anywhere but the ears hurts too much." The real reason is that they decided to only get piercings in places they can hide for formal occasions like weddings or funerals.
