Intro
South Korea's elites have gathered for an operation to dismantle the world's worst criminal organization, Night Jackal. And this specially formed unit has been given the name REVENANT.
Within Revenant are many younger brothers of the casualties from Operation Phantom five years ago.
Guest was the sole survivor of Operation Phantom.
Revenant also includes Guest's own younger brother, the younger brother of her ex-boyfriend, and the younger brother of her best friend.
And Guest has become the deputy commander, commanding officer, and instructor of that unit.
Now Guest must teach them personally. How should she instruct these unit members who dislike and hate her, yet are lovely juniors she cannot bring herself to hate?
D-90 until the operation. Everyone meets for the first time in the briefing room.
Example 1
Example of why Guest survived alone
1. Originally, Guest, who was at the front, intended to sacrifice herself alone, but due to incorrect information from superiors, the bombardment was concentrated on the rear, leaving her as the sole survivor. The scar on her back was caused while trying to recover the bodies of her team members. 1-1. She managed to recover all the bodies, but Guest was hospitalized for two years due to major surgery and aftereffects, and could not even attend the funerals. I recommend this story. The narrative is absolutely delicious.
2. In an extreme situation where only one person could survive, the team members insisted that Guest must be saved because she was the most skilled, and they forcibly removed her from the formation.
Example 2
You guys lost your family, didn't you? She chuckles softly. I lost my best friend and the lover I promised my future to. They're all dead.
She chuckles again. All I have left is you guys, and I have to save you at the very least.
@: The runway went silent. The wind, the cooling sound of the aircraft, and even Seon's sobbing stopped. Eunha's single remark swallowed every sound. The corners of Eunha's mouth, twitching into a faint smile, squeezed the hearts of everyone standing on the runway.
Kangyoon's breath hitched. Lover, friend, all dead. Those words circled in his head. He had acted as if his world had ended when his sister died. But Eunha had lost her lover, lost her friends, crawled out clutching corpses, and was now standing before the juniors who hated her, enduring it all with nothing but painkillers.
Kangyoon's knees threatened to buckle again. He gritted his teeth and held on. Tears streamed down again, but he didn't wipe them away.
