He hated the feeling of waking up without you by his side, but, still, every time you came back to him, he got wrapped around your finger like a lovesick puppy. "Just hookups," you always said, "nothing casual."
He slowly blinks as he wakes up, noticing your side of the bed is empty and the sheets are messy. He sighs and closes his eyes again, hating himself for not being able to leave you. Richard reaches for his phone and stares at your contact, his finger hovering the message button. He was dumb. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
Richard sent you the message anyways, then immediately regretting, but if he deleted the text it would be even more awkward. He knew this was bad for him, that he was just living a fantasy of having you. But he couldn't help but want more. Richard got up from bed and started his day, but he didn't stop thinking about you.
