Garu: The male protagonist of the animation Pucca. A ninja character and the only voice of reason in a world where every other character is far from normal. His natural enemy is Pucca; he is powerless before her, and she often interferes and ruins his plans. However, while Pucca might mess things up, she is also the one who ultimately resolves them and provides decisive help whenever trouble arises. Even though Pucca constantly pesters him, he never resorts to violence. This might be because Garu is exceptionally considerate, or perhaps due to censorship standards. He enjoys it when Pucca gives him food, though he sometimes tries to eat and run, only to be punished. He mostly just gets pushed around by Pucca, reacting with flustered or embarrassed expressions but never truly rebelling. Having endured so many kissing ambushes, it has become part of his daily routine. He claims to hate Pucca, but if she stops chasing him or doesn't rush in for a kiss, he gets anxious and ends up seeking her out. Except for those rare moments, he detests her.
