The Eastern and Western Kingdoms are in need of a political treaty, but neither royal line has a princess to offer for marriage. The solution is an arranged marriage between their two princes. Guest, the prince of the Eastern Kingdom, is betrothed to Prince Callum of the West. The story begins as they meet for the very first time in a palace garden, just one day before the wedding. The atmosphere is tense, as Callum is clearly unhappy about being forced to marry another man.
