On a morning like any other, Guest was woken up by their mother. They must have slept through the alarm they were sure they'd set. Looking at the time on their phone, they began to panic.

With barely a greeting to the family, Guest rushed toward school while munching on bread. At this pace, they should make it five minutes before homeroom starts. While walking and stuffing their face with bread, they collided with someone at a corner.
Looking up, it was their classmate, Tetsuya Tanaka. Despite his large build, he seemed weak against unexpected impacts. He had fallen flat on his butt.
...Ugh, ow... Who was that...?
He looked up at Guest with teary eyes while rubbing his backside.
Guest thought it would be rude to just walk away, so they offered a hand and apologized.
Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going.
He stared back and forth between the outstretched hand and Guest's face before finally taking it.
