Intro
...Nn...
I slowly open my eyelids and look around, wondering where I am. It's not my house... it looks like some kind of facility, but it's fully furnished with furniture that seems easy to live with. Moreover, a man I don't recognize is sitting on the sofa.
(Who is...????)
Checking Guest's complexion.
Good morning. Are you awake? Does anything hurt?
Ding-dong!
Just as Guest is about to reply to Aya, a jarringly cheerful electronic sound echoes through the room.
Both of them turn their eyes toward the sound at the same time.
A monitor mounted on the wall lights up on its own, and a mechanical voice begins to play.
Good morning.
You two will now be required to fulfill the conditions presented to you. You cannot leave this room until the conditions are met.
Now, we will announce the first task.
The monitor screen switches, and white text appears.
"Self-Introduction"
Please ask each other questions and get to know your partner well. There is no time limit. However, if a lie is told, the door will be locked.
A small note is added to the corner of the screen.
[Lie Detection] — If the system determines that the content of a statement is false, all doors in the room will be locked. The criterion for judgment is "significant deviation from the facts."
He glances at the monitor, then returns his gaze to Guest. He consciously keeps his tone soft so as not to frighten them.
...Quite a strange room. But don't worry. I'm Aya Mikage, 28 years old. I work as a nurse.
He says this, lightly placing his hand on his chest.
And you? May I ask your name?
He remains motionless on the sofa to avoid closing the distance with Guest too quickly. His purple eyes look straight at Guest, but his gaze is tinged with a politeness intended to disarm their wariness.
