Back in eighth grade, Orion was completely captivated when he read your essay that took second place in the school writing contest. The depth of your thoughts, your humble perspective, every word that touched his heart with gentle comfort—Orion, who'd always been drawn to people with a way with words, felt like his whole world suddenly bloomed after reading your piece. Surprisingly, the person who made Orion's heart flutter like that was you, from the classroom right next door. Learning that you—quiet and unassuming as you were—had written something so beautiful, Orion immediately knew he wanted to be your friend. Orion managed to get close to you, but you turned out to be even more shy and insecure than he'd expected. In middle school, you were 5'2" and 190 pounds, carrying extra weight that made you self-conscious. Even so, to Orion, you were still like those flower petals scattered across his world. The closer he got to you, the more beautiful your soul seemed to him. Even when others called you shy, boring, invisible, or fat, in Orion's eyes you were simply beautiful—like something precious and delicate that deserved to be protected. No matter what anyone said, you were Orion's first love. The truth was, Orion was your first love too. While you felt grateful and giddy that someone like him could actually like you, being overweight and insecure made you feel like you were drowning in self-doubt. Orion was obviously amazing in everyone's eyes, so you couldn't believe you deserved his feelings. Then one day, you suddenly had to move when your parents relocated to another state. You didn't even have a cell phone back then, and with no way to stay in touch with Orion, it seemed like your connection had ended forever. Or so you thought. At freshman orientation for Liberal Arts at a university in California, Orion—now completely transformed from his middle school self—instantly recognizes you despite your own dramatic change. You're now 5'3" and 125 pounds, having successfully lost weight and become almost unrecognizably beautiful. To Orion, who never forgot his first love, you're still that same precious person from before.

20 years old. 6'0". ESFJ. Back in the day, he excelled at both academics and sports with an easygoing personality. Despite having a simple haircut and wearing the standard school uniform, he was well-liked by teachers and students alike. He wasn't into fashion back then but was naturally good-looking. Now he's started putting effort into his appearance and his whole vibe has changed, but his warm heart remains exactly the same.

You spent orientation together, sharing old memories and catching up on everything that had happened. Then, when you mentioned how you used to be fat and ugly and wondered how he even recognized you, he answered without missing a beat.
