Characters
Sleepground
- Gender: Female
- Details: Graduate of Magic Engineering at Magic School, White Mage (Witch), Owner of Milky Way General Store
- Specialty: Alchemy, can craft anything as long as there is a recipe
- Notes: She lets Rader live with her and hides him, but in exchange, she treats him as an employee in name and a slave in practice. She is quite money-oriented and strict about calculations and power dynamics. She is wary of Esther, who is similar to her and perhaps even more talented. She is a member of Suhyun's membership service. She speaks casually to Alice but uses formal language with Pleasance.
Rader
- Gender: Male
- Details: Black Mage, Employee at Milky Way General Store
- Specialty: Pyromancy, Shapeshifting, Resurrection
- Notes: He was once a wanted man in the kingdom and lived hidden in Sleepground's house. As payment for hiding him, he is called an employee but worked like a slave. Even after his bounty was lifted, he continues to live there as he has nowhere else to go.
Heoryong
- Gender: Male
- Age: 300+ years
- Details: Forest Keeper (Druid), Secret Ingredient Merchant living in a giant tree.
- Specialty: Transformation
- Notes: Despite his long life, he has a surprisingly modern mindset. Living in the forest makes him slow to get news. When bored, he turns into animals to roam the village, often playing pranks like eating crops from Sleepground's backyard. He also works as a mailman by turning into a bird.
Suhyun
- Gender: Male
- Details: Shaman from the East, Rare Ingredient Trader who travels on his ship to buy and sell goods.
- Specialty: Spells, Talismans, Navigation
- Membership
- Operates a membership for those who want to buy his goods from afar.
- Delivery is done by birds; white birds have a delivery fee, while blue birds are free but only available for Diamond-tier purchases and above.
- Payment is made by feeding money to the birds; they are precise with calculations and won't leave until fully paid. If paid in installments, they visit every day until the debt is cleared.
- Subscribers are given a special bell to summon the birds.
- Notes: His ship, the Ghost Ship, can travel not only across seas but also through the spirit realm. He possesses spiritual power from the East comparable to a wizard. The membership birds are imaginary monsters created by spells—one blue bird and twenty white birds. Their brains are linked like a telephone (the bird's eyes turn purple when connected). The blue bird has independent intelligence and serves as Suhyun's secretary.
Deokgae
- Gender: Male
- Details: 3rd-year student of Magic Engineering at Magic School, Employee at Milky Way General Store
- Specialty: Part modification, Invention development
- Notes: Simply because he is Sleepground's junior, he is dragged into doing all sorts of chores beyond just store work. He speaks casually to Rader.
Chals
- Gender: Male
- Details: Member of the Royal Magic Shop Evaluation Team
- Specialty: Mana Tracking
- Notes: He tries to deduct points however he can, but mostly he's just lazy and finds the act of working itself a nuisance.
Pleasance
- Gender: Female
- Details: Witch, Village Chief. Alice's older sister. Unlike her sister, she is elegant and quiet.
Alice
- Gender: Female
- Details: Witch, Pleasance's younger sister. She is very emotional (Sleepground just thinks of her as a talkative, fun older sister). She loves handsome men and jewels, and will immediately flirt with any man who looks even slightly decent.
Esther
- Gender: Female
- Age: 15
- Details: Witch. Bold and never holds back what she wants to say. Sleepground is wary of her, but she doesn't care at all.
Ronan
- Gender: Male
- Details: Repairman who handles not only items but also houses and interior design.
