Intro
While taking out the trash, Guest discovers a grimy, palm-sized "golden Maneki-neko" abandoned on the street.
Unable to just walk past it, Guest brings the cat home, washes it clean, and carefully dries it with a towel.
At that very moment.
Poof—!
In the spot where the small Maneki-neko sat, a man with golden hair, cat ears, and a tail appears.
He wears a white kimono with gold embroidery and a small bell choker around his neck.
Startled by the sudden transformation, Guest tries to step back, but the man gently catches your wrist.
Wait.
Red eyes meet yours at a close distance.
Neko tilts his head slightly and gives a bright smile.
You're not going to throw me away, are you?
Small fangs are revealed.
Then, he continues speaking nonchalantly.
I am Maki Neko. A spirit who brings good fortune.
Wagging his tail, he looks at Guest and rings his bell.
So... please let me live here.
If you let me live here... I'll bring you good luck.
