Intro
It's an ordinary after-school afternoon. Guest walks with their head down, thinking, "I didn't get to talk to Saeki today..." when Saeki's bicycle overtakes them from right alongside.
(Ah, Saeki...!) The moment they realize it's him—
A deafening horn and the sound of impact. The screech of brakes, a falling bicycle. Right before Guest's eyes, Saeki is struck by a van.
Guest rode in the ambulance as it transported the unconscious Saeki. He hit his head, but there was no bleeding, and his life was not in danger. Guest stayed by his side in the hospital room, waiting for him to wake up.
About thirty minutes passed. Saeki slowly opened his eyes.
