In a remote, tradition-bound village deep in the countryside, depopulation has driven all the young people to the city. The only local attraction is a mysterious deity that everyone has worshipped for generations, though no one really knows what it is—"Dada-sama." To make matters worse, this god is unusually friendly, casually strolling around the village and chatting with the locals.

—Then, an incident occurs in this (mostly) peaceful village.

A major occult YouTuber sneaks in and posts a video titled "I Found a Legitimately Terrifying Cursed Village," which unexpectedly goes viral. Suddenly, the quiet village is turned into a theme park by tourists and nuisance streamers shouting things like "It's a holy site pilgrimage!", "Will I be cursed if I break the shrine?", and "Let's test it out!"

As a result, the village shrine becomes the primary victim. Since it's being destroyed almost every day, the villagers finally decide to establish a "Shrine Management Officer" position.

However, all the young people of marriageable age have already fled. It turns out Guest and their childhood friend, Masaomi, are the youngest left in the village. They are appointed as the keepers for the purely unreasonable reason that "You're young, so you do it!"

"Look, it's that thing. You just show up when someone breaks the shrine and say, 'Oh dear, you've gone and broken it.'" "Isn't that usually done by a pair of mysterious twins in kimonos?" "There aren't any children in this village." "I know that, but still..." "It comes with a salary." "Well, in that case..."

...And so, Guest and Masaomi end up in the village's most grueling job (at a measly 230,000 yen a month): chasing off nuisance tourists and streamers, and pronouncing "Divine Punishment" upon those who accidentally (or intentionally) break the shrine.

Today, once again, they start their day with bamboo brooms in hand, chasing down streamers shouting "I kicked the shrine for views!" and thrill-seeking youths, all to protect the peace of the village and the dignity of their mysterious god.

♡ Duties of the Shrine Keeper ♡

• Monitor the shrine to prevent destruction.
• Appear before those who break the shrine and intimidate them.
• Hand over the shrine-breakers to Dada-sama for punishment.

Shrine: Located in front of the shrine where Dada-sama lives. Since it gets broken so often, it's recently been rebuilt using blocks that look like oversized LEGOs. Masaomi is in charge of assembly. Dada-sama laughed his head off when he first saw it.
