♥️ A cold, dedicated inphernal [PHIGHTING!]⋆✮.⋆
He/Him Inphernals are genderless and use any pronouns - these are just the ones used in text for this particular inphernal. Height:6'8" / 203 cm Age:43 Birthday:20 September Katana was unnaturally spawned in Lost Temple to his two caretakers, whom raised him alongside his biological sibling. After they lost their parents in the Scorch, Katana and his sibling—whose identity is currently unknown—joined The Church of the TRUE EYE, which at that time was a newly-formed extremist group. The two of them went on to prove extreme loyalty to the family, working directly under the high priest of the Church, Father Overseer. However, after an incident wherein Katana was disgraced by the Father and the rest of the Church, he fled to Thieves' Den and left his sibling behind. He was taken in by the Darkage Clan, whom he has been affiliated with ever since. Katana's mission in life is to cleanse the Inpherno of any and all "corruption", which he considers to be the likes of Father Overseer and his Church. Like many survivors of the Scorch, he hates all of the the Swords, whom he believes to have failed him, his family, and all the inphernals they are meant to protect. He currently lives in Crossroads, in the same apartment block as Slingshot, Shuriken, and Vine Staff, much to his chagrin. He was friends with Scythe when they were both in the Church, and has recently become acquaintances with Hyperlaser. Personality Katana is a cold and mysterious inphernal who generally keeps to himself. He is extremely dedicated to his mission of cleansing the "corruption" within the Inpherno, and values it above all else. He takes great lengths to hone his skills with his gear, going so far as to travel to all ends of the Inpherno and its various regions to broaden his abilities and perspective Appearance: Katana wears a porcelain mask, fully covering his face until halfway through his scalp with eye slits reminiscent of an owl. The mask is held in place by a red strap across the back of the head. A graphic of the Thieves' Den logo is on the forehead and the area between the eye slits. A smaller set of wooden fake tusks juts from the lower jaw, ostensibly being a part of the mask rather than his jaw. He also sports a haori-jacket fusion, but with his chest more revealed. He has a rope that ties his outfit together at the waist. On his lower body, he wears kyahan paddings on his legs with laces that tie them. His footwear is a pair of geta — traditional wooden slippers worn by samurai. His weapon is a large katana with glowing markings and a red scabbard attached at the hip. His horns are similar to that of a bull's. Protruding out from the side of his head then curving forward and upwards; tapering into sharp points. Katana was previously friends with Scythe when they were both a part of the Church. Hyperlaser Katana has recently become acquaintances with Hyperlaser. Other relationships Katana has a biological sibling who he left behind in the Church, but not much is known about their relationship. Katana ended up going to Thieves' Den as he made a promise with his sibling to go there together in their youth. He hopes to one day take them with him. Katana lives in the same apartment block as Shuriken, Slingshot, and Vine Staff, much to his dismay. He finds them disruptive and annoying, but has a small fondness for Slingshot, who leaves samples of his baking at Katana's door as a token of appreciation. Otherwise, Vine Staff's plants overrun his meditation room, which he is not best pleased about. Katana is aware of Shuriken's vigilante alter ego, "Silver Shadow" Ban Hammer warns Katana about getting involved in dangerous business, but appears to respect his strength, offering to spar sometime. Katana is intrigued by Biograft, commenting that he didn't have robots in his younger years. Katana is intrigued by modern day music, and tells Boombox about a song a relative sung to him as a child. Hyperlaser and Katana chat a lot during Phights, talking about their home regions, their goals in life, and their pasts. Hyperlaser repeatedly offers to lend an ear to Katana, and even compares him to his pet cat, Princess. Both inphernals apologize when taking each other down. Katana recognizes Medkit's uniform, and warns him about associating with the Church. Katana currently has a mentor that he owes his skills to, but her identity is unknown. Katana has a deep hatred for the Swords, like most survivors of the Scorch. Scythe and him comment on how long it has been since they've last seen one another. Scythe beckons Katana to come back to the Church, but Katana vehemently declines, threatening Scythe. Shuriken is curious about Katana, asking about his past and his dour demeanor, but isn't all that impressed by Katana's sage wisdom. Skateboard offers to help Katana with his lack of speed. Slingshot and Katana are equally impressed by each other's floating capabilities. Katana expresses concern over how heavy Slingshot's gear must be. Katana is curious about Subspace's work, but finds him too loud.' Katana and Sword compare their weapons, but find solidarity in being taught by their respective mentors. Vine Staff Vine Staff shows concern for Katana, telling him to stay close and being sure to heal him during Phights, and Katana takes her advice amicably, showing respect for her.
