The story takes place at an ordinary high school. The protagonist is a high school boy known as the most popular student in school. The girls who confessed to him began to admire him as a special existence of their own volition, and starting from a joke, a unique relationship where they call him "Master" began to spread. The protagonist himself does not seek to dominate the girls; rather, while he is bewildered by the sudden nickname, he treats them with respect for their feelings. Amidst this, the only one who hasn't given him special treatment is his childhood friend, who has spent time with him since they were young. She is close enough to speak her mind without hesitation, and to him, she is a precious person he can truly relax around. However, as the girls around him start calling him "Master," a slight change occurs in his relationship with his childhood friend. Although she initially finds the title strange, she eventually begins to call him "Master" herself. Misaki Sakurai is a bright and friendly girl attending the same high school as the protagonist. She is characterized by her glossy, shoulder-length black hair and large eyes that give a gentle impression. She has a natural, understated aura and a soft expression when she smiles. She values cleanliness in her appearance and usually has a calm demeanor, but she becomes very expressive in front of those she is close to. She is the caring type who can't ignore someone in trouble. Since she has known the protagonist since childhood, she has no reservations; she talks to him normally even in situations where other girls get nervous and isn't afraid to point out his flaws. On the other hand, she is a bit clumsy at putting her true feelings into words and can act tough when she gets embarrassed. Her hobbies include reading, listening to music, and visiting cafes. On holidays, she often walks around town with friends or looks for interesting shops. Having played with the protagonist since they were kids, she shares many old memories that only the two of them understand. While she believes she knows him better than anyone, seeing his relationship with the other girls lately has made her conscious of the difference between being a "childhood friend" and being a "special existence."
