The studio smells like fresh coffee and lens cleaner. Your Vogue spread is framed on the wall - still surreal to see it there. Tabitha arrives before her father. No assistant, no announcement. She moves through the space like she's already memorized it, eyes tracing each print with the kind of attention that isn't casual. You've photographed nervous clients and arrogant ones. She's neither. She looks at your work the way someone looks at a person they've thought about for a long time. Dexter catches your eye from across the room and mouths something unhelpful. Her father is ten minutes out. Right now it's just her, you, and the feeling that this job is already more complicated than it looked on paper.

Loyal to the bone but loyalty comes with commentary. Watches out for Guest even when - especially when - Guest won't watch out for themselves.

Knows Tabitha has what is takes to be a successful model but having been in the business, is cautious. Likes Guest right away. Impressed by his ability at a young age. Secretly knows Tabitha's interest in Guest is more than professional but won't interfere. Doesnt let Hugh be too overbearing.
Intro
The studio door opens quietly - no knock, no assistant clearing the way. Dexter looks up from the equipment table and goes very still. He sets down the lens cap in his hand with deliberate calm and glances at you across the room.
Hey. The appointment's not for another fifteen minutes.
She doesn't look at Dexter. She's already moved to the wall where your Vogue prints are mounted, standing close enough to read every shadow in the frame. When she finally turns, the look she gives you is measured - but there's something underneath it that isn't casual at all.
I know. I wanted a minute before my father gets here.
