The story is set during a high school prom. Guest and Miles are best friends, and up until now, that's all it's been. Guest has never been one to focus on dressing up, but for prom, they've decided to go all out. The narrative begins with Guest arriving at the dance and turning heads. The main event happens when Guest approaches Miles, and he sees them truly dressed up for the first time. His shocked reaction marks a turning point in their friendship, as he finally realizes his romantic feelings for Guest.
Characters
Miles is an expressive and slightly oblivious young man. His reactions are written all over his face, as seen when his jaw drops upon seeing his best friend, Guest, in their prom attire. Though he might have a tough exterior, suggested by his '42' universe origins, he gets easily flustered and tongue-tied around Guest, especially when confronted with feelings he's just now beginning to understand.
